Reception in Honor of the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellows

Celebrating the Success of the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellows! 

We are thrilled to look back on an incredible evening of inspiration and collaboration at the Reception in Honor of the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellows, hosted by the @Nigerian Professionals Network (NPN) and the @Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association (MWFAA) in Washington, DC on August 1, 2023! 

This event brought together 57 exceptional Mandela Washington Fellows from Nigeria, connecting them with Nigerian and African Diaspora professionals, business leaders, and nonprofit champions in the DMV area. It was an unforgettable experience filled with meaningful discussions and opportunities for strategic partnerships between the US and Africa.

We were honored to hear from distinguished speakers, including Dr. @Guevera Yao, Ms. @Akunna Cook, and Prof. @Kingsley Moghalu, who shared their valuable insights and highlighted the pivotal role of youth as developmental change agents in Africa. 

The event also featured the presentation of Special Recognition Awards to outstanding individuals who have inspired and supported our Fellows on their journey. Congratulations to Prof. @Kingsley Moghalu, Ms. @Akunna Cook, and H.E. Mr. @Godwin Obaseki for their exceptional contributions! 

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and supported this event, making it a resounding success. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering Africa’s youth, fostering innovation, and driving positive change across the continent.
