Nigerian Professionals Network Visit Embassy in Washington DC

On Wednesday, 11th day of May 2022. Olumide Kola-Lawal, Founder and President of the Nigerian Professionals Network (NPN) led a delegation to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC to meet with Her Excellency, Ambassador (Dr.) Uzoma Emenike , Nigeria’s Ambassador to United States of America. The NPN delegation was received by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Ambassador Mukhtar Ibrahim Bashir, Minister, Peter Edako and Ms Farida Mohammed, Deputy Head of Chancery.

The meeting provided an opportunity to formally introduce the NPN to the Nigerian Mission as a progressive think tank positioned for influencing policies and conversations that will be of benefit to the mission and Nigerians. During the meeting, the NPN delegation also provided an insight on its programs geared towards capacity building for Nigerian professionals and career advancement for Nigerian students within the DMV area.

Olumide Kola- Lawal also briefed the Ambassador of the Network’s plan to host an event tagged DMV Nigeria Trail Blazers Recognition Award to spotlight and celebrate Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavor cutting across international development, business, IT, academia, sports, and fashion.

Olumide Kola -Lawal said that NPN seeks to collaborate with the Nigerian Mission and to ensure that the network serves as a partner towards supporting the embassy as well. “We want to add value to the Nigerian Mission” Olumide Kola- Lawal added.
